Paraburdoo Community Survey

The Shire of Ashburton has recently undertaken works to improve the Paraburdoo town centre, as sponsored by Royalties for Regions Country Local Government Fund. Paraburdoo town centre landscaping, car-parking area and public convenience works are now complete apart from minor modifications to the central openings of the shade structures.  These will be completed by the end of March.

So that we can report on Customer Satisfaction we would appreciate your feedback on the project outcomes.   Projects recently undertaken include;

  • The public toilets have had the façade upgraded to present a clean fresh frontage.  A new block has been added to include conveniences for those with mobility difficulties and baby change facilities.  Access to the block has been widened for wheelchair access.
  • The landscaping has included upgraded reticulation and new grass, as well as a community Gazebo.
  • The car-park facilities have been upgraded to include the installation of mountable kerbs and traffic calming treatments.  New shade structures provide enhanced useability and disabilities car parking has been included.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statements? 

  • The new car-park has reduced vehicular/pedestrian conflicts.
  • There is an increased use of the car-park by tourists and residents.
  • The new shade facilities have provided an enhanced parking facility area.
  • The new landscaping and gazebo have improved the amenity and usability of the area.
  • The public conveniences are now more accessible and useable for public with mobility difficulties and parents with babies.
