Waste Collection Schedule

Below is the Shire of Ashburton’s domestic waste collection schedule based on your town. If you have any enquiries, please contact our Waste team on (08) 9188 5505.

To ensure your bins are collected and dispensed safely, please keep in mind the following information:

• 240L wheelie bins must be placed outside the front of your property before 6:00am on collection days.
• Bins must be placed 1 metre from the kerb and with a minimum of 0.5–1 metre clear space on either side, away from letter boxes, posts, boats, vehicles, branches and valuable assets.
• Place all rubbish inside the bin – rubbish not placed in the bin won’t be collected.
• Only Council-approved bins will be collected. Tom Price and Paraburdoo residents are reminded that our Shire-operated waste collection services will only collect one (1) 240 litre rubbish bin from all residential properties, unless additional services were included in the property's current rates notice.
• Bin wheels should be facing your property.
• Shire operators may take photos to notify residents why a bin was not collected.
• Contents must be less than 70kg – do not overload your bin.
• Overfilling or compacting your bin with cardboard or lawn clippings that are not bagged, and jamming the waste will prevent its contents being emptied.
• Do not dispose of gas bottles, batteries, and fire extinguishers in household or general waste bins. Domestic customers can dispose of batteries for free.
