Section 3.58(3) – Local Government Act 1995
The Shire of Ashburton gives notice of its intention to dispose of property by way of two licence agreements at Onslow Airport in accordance with section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995.
Proposed Licence 1 – Chalkwest Pty Ltd, AFT The Chalkwest Partnership
Property: Portions of Lot 200 & 201 on Deposited Plan 422498
Terminal Booth 1; five vehicle parking bays within the main airport car park, being bays 1–5; and five vehicle parking bays within the overflow parking area, being bays 1–5.
Disposition: Licence for the use of the above areas for the operation of car hire and associated services at Onslow Airport, for an initial term of 2 years, with one further 2-year option term.
Consideration: $30,500 per annum plus GST, payable monthly in advance by equal instalments, comprising:
- $20,000 per annum for the terminal service counter;
- $7,500 per annum for five vehicle parking bays within the main airport car park; and
- $3,000 per annum for five vehicle parking bays within the overflow parking area.
Proposed Licence 2 – Jina Rent A Car Pty Ltd
Property: Portions of Lot 200 & 201 on Deposited Plan 422498
Terminal Booth 2; five vehicle parking bays within the main airport car park, being bays 6–10; and five vehicle parking bays within the overflow parking area, being bays 6–10.
Disposition: Licence for the use of the above areas for the operation of car hire and associated services at Onslow Airport, for an initial term of 2 years, with one further 2-year option term.
Consideration: $30,500 per annum plus GST, payable monthly in advance by equal instalments, comprising:
- $20,000 per annum for the terminal service counter;
- $7,500 per annum for five vehicle parking bays within the main airport car park; and
- $3,000 per annum for five vehicle parking bays within the overflow parking area.
Market Value: $35,000 per annum plus GST, comprising $20,000 per annum for the terminal car rental booth and $15,000 per annum for ten vehicle parking bays, as determined by an independent market valuation dated 22 May 2026.
