Works to commence as part of Onslow foreshore protection

Onslow community members are advised that stockpiling works will be undertaken as the Shire of Ashburton commences expansion and restoration of the current seawall.

From Monday 7 February, Ertech will commence stock piling materials at the Caravan Park Overflow Parking area at the Northwest end of Second Avenue.

There will be come disruptions during this period including:

  • Temporary changes to traffic conditions and vehicular access in Second Avenue.
  • Increased heavy vehicle movements
  • Disruptions to pedestrian traffic at the end of Second Avenue

The Seawall Expansion project is to protect the foreshore and restore the failing wall in front of Anzac Memorial park area.
