Wet season weed management program

Along with flowing creeks and waterholes, wet season in Tom Price and Paraburdoo also means a burst in grass and weed growth.

The Shire has a weed management program, and as a priority, are actively focussing on the footpaths that have high pedestrian use.  Given the volume of rainfall we have experienced the next round of weed spraying will commence in Tom Price and Paraburdoo on Monday 26 February, subject to weather conditions.

Spraying will be conducted outside of peak pedestrian times, and signage will be in place during spraying as well as for the estimated 30 minute drying time.

Any high grass or heavily weeded areas that are cause for concern can be reported through our ‘See it, Report it’ form.
