An Extraordinary Postal Election will be held on Thursday, 20 October 2016 in the Shire of Ashburton to fill the following vacancies:

Tom Price Ward
2 Councillors
Terms to expire: 21 October 2017

There are three nominations and their profiles can be downloaded below.

The election will be conducted via a postal vote with packages distributed via Australia Post on Thursday 22 September.   Completed packages can be mailed back in the reply paid envelope or placed in the secure ballot box located within the Shire Office, either before the election or on Election Day.  The Shire Administration office will be the polling place and will be open between 8am – 6pm on 20th October.

Please be mindful that votes posted back through Australia post should be mailed prior to 17th October, as after this date they may not be received in time and therefore will not count.

At the end of Election Day, at 6pm sharp, the manual counting of votes will begin and on completion successful candidates will be declared.

All other relevant information regarding how to vote on the ballot paper is located inside the voting packages.
