nbn have engaged Downer EDI Engineering Pty Ltd to undertake various nbn network construction works throughout Tom Price commencing 17 December 2019 until 17 December 2020.
The program of works includes:
- Upgrade/repair/raise existing Telstra pits. Clear blockages in Telstra conduits and install jointing pits (if required) in locations outlined in the attached plans.
- From the existing Telstra manholes install new 50mm and/or 100mm diameter polypipe using trenching and/or directional drilling methods to existing Telstra manholes.
- Breakout and re-instatement of concrete path may be required.
- Install plastic communications pits at various locations along the route.
- Hauling fibre optic cable through new nbn and existing Telstra conduits using winch trucks.
Minimal disturbance is anticipated for maintenance works to Telstra infrastructure and details of any disturbance will be communicated by nbn/Downer EDI Engineering through consultation. Activity will be confined to footways and established Telstra alignments and again minimal disruption to pedestrian traffic is anticipated.
Road users are asked to be aware of workers and drive with caution when works are in progress.
