The Shire of Ashburton is pleased to advise the appointment of Mr. Adam Majid the role of Director of Development Services.
Shire of Ashburton Chief Executive Officer Kenn Donohoe said that he is pleased to welcome Mr. Majid to the team and is looking forward to working with him on steering a number of town improvement and capital works projects that have been approved in the 2020/21 budget.
“Adam will commence in the role from October 2020 following completion of his current role at the Shire of Nungarin where he is currently Chief Executive Officer.
“Adam brings to Ashburton an extensive background in planning environments with a number of local governments including the Town of Port Hedland and the Shire of East Pilbara where he was heavily involved in involved in the Town Centre Revitalisation program and residential land releases”.
Mr. Majid is looking forward to returning to the ruggedness that is the Pilbara, from sunrise to sunset and everything in between.
“Having worked in the region for a number of years and also growing up in Newman, I enjoy just getting out and being entrenched in the Pilbara landscape”, said Adam.
“I am excited to head back north and work with the Shire of Ashburton on some big and exciting developments in addition to planning for the future of the entire Shire”.
The Shire’s Development Services directorate includes development, planning and building services, and emergency and environmental management.
