Roebourne-Wittenoom Road (stage 3) remains closed

Main Roads have advised that due to ongoing concerns with asbestos and the impact on safety they are still unable to re-open the Roebourne-Wittenoom Road.

Therefore Stage 3 of the Roebourne-Wittenoom Road, from the end of the bitumen seal at Python Pool to the Rio Tinto rail crossing, remains closed to all traffic.

They are working to remedy the situation, and will open the road once it is deemed safe to do so.

At this stage the Shire do not have any definitive dates on when this section of road will be accessible and will continue to liaise with MRWA. We will update the community once new information comes to hand.
