The Shire has been working on temporarily repairing a number of roads that have been damaged during the past two wet seasons to enable them to be open to traffic. We are pleased to report that the following sections of roads have been temporarily repaired and are now open to the public.
- Ashburton Downs to Meekatharra Road
- Twitchen Road section from Onslow Road to Minderoo Bridge
Over the next twelve months a major works program will be undertaken to improve the standard of the unsealed road network. These works are expected to begin on Twitchen Road in the next week or two.
In the meantime the Shire graders will now be operating along the Hamersley Mt Bruce Road (and other roads) to enable truck movements for the upcoming stock season.
