The Shire of Ashburton intends to progress a reduction in the RAV classification on roads within the Onslow town centre from RAV 5 to RAV 1. This will specifically affect Second Avenue, Third Avenue and Third Street in Onslow. Effectively this decision will limit Heavy Vehicles access in the Onslow town centre uniformly to less than 20m in length and less than 50 tonne in mass.
Prior to lodgement of an application for the proposed RAV reduction with Main Roads WA, the Shire seeks comment and input from local businesses, transport companies and the broader community that may be affected by this change.
