Proposed fishing spots in Onslow

Onslow Residents - have your say about the location for a new community fishing platform.

The Department of Transport (DoT) is seeking comment from people in Onslow about the preferred location for a new community fishing platform.

It’s proposed the new fishing platform be located at the north western end of Beadon Creek because of the depth of water during low tide periods. It is also away from boating activity and heavy machinery.

Increased use of Beadon Creek Boat Harbour including the wharf and handstand area has made access for fishing unsafe and the new platform will provide an alternative location for fishing.

The location of the new platform will be discussed at a community meeting be held on the evening of Thursday 13 June 2013 at the FESA Hall in Onslow.
