Pre Cyclone Clean up - verge collection begins next week

The Shire of Ashburton is providing a pre cyclone clean-up for residents in Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Onslow.

This is not a General Household clean-up.

Verge collection will begin during the week starting Monday 12th October 2015. 

Please take time to look around your property for any items which may become wind-blown in the event of a cyclone, for example:

  • Sheets of iron or tin (hard waste)
  • Unused building materials (hard waste)
  • Tree pruning’s (green waste)

When placing items on the verge for collection please take note of the following; 

  • Please separate hard waste from green waste
  • Please do not place items on top of water meters, taps or Telstra pits.
  • Please stack items in a location that is easily accessible for tractors and bobcats.
  • Tree pruning waste to be tied into bundles and no longer than 2 meters long and no more than 0.5m thick

Items that WILL NOT be removed:

  • Hazardous waste
  • Car batteries
  • General Waste
  • Gas Bottles
  • Chemicals
  • Fuels
  • Oils
  • Paints
  • Fire Extinguishers Liquids

PLEASE PLACE ITEMS ON YOUR VERGE COMMENCING 28th SEPTEMBER 2015

Items placed out after Sunday 11 October will not be collected.
