Perth’s home-grown indie band and Triple J favourite, Birds of Tokyo, are set to slip into Onslow for this year’s Passion of the Pilbara festival.

Birds of Tokyo will join a huge line-up of WA artists for the two-day Pilbara festival in Onslow taking place on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 August 2021.

Shire of Ashburton President Kerry White said she is extremely excited that Onslow would host the popular headline act and acknowledged that Passion of the Pilbara continued to grow in terms of entertainment, audience and attracting bigger names to the region.

“Passion of the Pilbara has transformed from a community event to one that showcases the Pilbara’s heart and soul through a collaboration of music, arts, entertainment, food and community”, said Councillor White.

“Attracting such a strong line-up of WA artists and entertainers wanting to perform and join in the celebrations is testament of the success of the festival.

“Birds of Tokyo will also be joined by Luke Gallagher Duo, PKXpress, The Brad Hall Band and The Midnight Jokers as well as comedian Janelle Koenig.

“The Shire of Ashburton is also incredibly thankful to our generous event partner Chevron Wheatstone Project, premium partner BHP, partners Horizon power, Mineral Resources, Pilbara Development Commission and multiple associate partners”.
