The Pannawonica Gala Committee put on a wonderful weekend of events and activities for the Pannawonica community on August 23 - 24. Kicking off on the Saturday evening with a Japanese Cherry Blossom themed Annual Gala Ball, where the wonderful Lady Velvet Burlesque Dancers provided entertainment and the Alcatraz band had the crowd dancing the night away.
The Family Fun Day held on Sunday at the town oval offered an array of free entertainment including a giant waterslide, bouncy castles, rides, and face painting. The local Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service put on a water display and treated local children to a ride in their fire engine. There was also a variety of food, show bags and fairy floss for sale, with a popular dog parade rounding up the events. The weekend was a huge success and a real testament to the hard working committee.
