The construction of the much-anticipated public swimming pool in Onslow has been progressing well since it commenced in March 2016.
The facility is now in the final stages of construction with only landscaping, permanent power connection, compliance testing and fitout to be completed. The Shire hoped to have these finished in time for Australia Day celebrations, but delays to the power connection will unfortunately push back the opening date by a few weeks.
At this stage we expect the facility to be tested and open to the public in the second week of February. We appreciate the community’s patience, and look forward to providing details of the opening date when it is confirmed.
