The Shire of Ashburton and V Swans and have been working together to provide support to Onslow teenager Jake Polkinghorne after being involved in a workplace accident.
The Shire have provided ongoing support for Jake in the form of a gym membership to help with his recovery whilst Clint Degebrodt from V Swans and Shelley Matcham from Swan Districts Football Club have devised a “return to work” support plan to improve Jake's strength & mobility.
Newly appointed, V Swans City of Karratha Regional Manager, Beau McDonald has been working with Jake and has said that “he is well on his way to returning to his level of fitness and health prior to his incident”.
