Now that bushfire season has begun, it is important to stay alert and informed on incidents and emergencies occuring within the region.

The new Emergency WA website launched on 23 October 2016 is a one-stop-shop for emergency information providing:

  • critical community warnings about a range of emergencies, including real-time data – as soon as a triple zero call comes in
  • easy access to combined content from Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), Department of Parks and Wildlife, the Bureau of Meteorology and Geoscience Australia
  • vital planning, preparation and recovery information.

It will also include critical warnings about fires, floods, storms, earthquakes, cyclones and hazardous material incidents.

The new map-based home page with search and filter options will make it easier to find warnings relevant to your location on mobile phones and other digital devices.

Stay informed by regularly visiting the Emergency WA website, particularly when planning to travel .
