INCREASE IN SERVICE AVAILABILITY
PARABURDOO LIBRARY & ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
Please be advised that from 24 February 2014 –
- All Administration service and functions will be conducted from the Library counter;
- All Library staff will be trained to be able to provide the full suite of Administrative services currently available in Paraburdoo;
- The Library will no longer close on Wednesdays, thus extending Library hours and, as the Library already opens on Saturday mornings, there will also be an extension of normal office hours, to again provide an increase in administrative service options for the community of Paraburdoo; and
- The better utilisation of both staff and office space will reduce costs and provide a seamless operation of both Library and Administration services.
The reason for the change is due to concerns with public access/availability at the Shire’s Administration office in Paraburdoo, as expressed by our Paraburdoo Councillors.
Staff from Corporate Services and Community Development have worked together to provide a solution that will not only assure continuity of service, but also increase availability of both Library and Administration services, reduce costs and free up much needed office accommodation in Paraburdoo.
