The Shire of Ashburton recognised National Reconciliation Week by flying the Aboriginal flag at its Tom Price office this week.

Receptionists Karen Tonkin and Kimberlee Kite hoisted the flag on Monday May 30, inviting community members to consider how they can be a part of bridging the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.

National Reconciliation Week runs from May 27 until June 3, with the theme of Let’s Talk Recognition. It is an ideal time to recognise the important contributions that Indigenous Australians are making to the community.
