The Shire of Ashburton is dazzling this month with residents in all towns lighting up their houses and taking part in the annual Christmas Lights Competition.
Judging of the competition took part on the weekend when community members and judges were taken on free community bus and walking tours of all the displays. Entrants got in the spirit as many donned their favourite Christmas outfits while giving lollies out to all those who were admiring their displays.

One family in Tom Price even had a real Santa riding a sleigh across the front yard!
It was great to see so many people take part and go to so much effort. Children of the Pilbara have loved seeing all the houses and it’s helped everyone in town get into the Christmas spirit.
Prizes have been awarded for first, second and third places in all towns, and are as follows:
Tom Price:
1st – Nerreda Picks
2nd – Callum Family
3rd –Rushbrook Family
Paraburdoo:
1st – Jody and Wayne Blair
2nd – Geoff and Kellie Reader
3rd – Cadie and John Willett
