Christmas across Ashburton

Towns across the Shire of Ashburton have been a buzz as families have enjoyed the vibrant displays of Christmas lights and participates in the many festive activities that have been on offer.

Kids have enjoyed getting creative with the Elves craft workshops, performing their Christmas concerts and, of course, the special visits from Santa.

Families converged with their glo-lights and picnic rugs to sing carols and Onslow lined the streets to cheer on the entrants in the annual float parade.

Local residents in Tom Price, Pannawonica and Paraburdoo toured the town to judge the winners in the highly coveted Christmas Lights competition, with all entrants putting up magnificent displays and creating a strong sense of Christmas cheer.

Congratulations to all of our residents who made the effort in decorating their homes and their parade floats, which creates a fun and festive atmosphere within our communities.

Our Christmas activities are made possible through the Shire’s partnership with the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project, as well as the valuable support from Sodexo, Nintirri, Karingal – in partnership with Rio Tinto, Horizon Power, the Combined Churches, Tom Price Youth Support Association, Allwest Drilling Karratha, Pannawonica Primary School and Pannawonica Junior Sports.
