Tom Price community members are advised that a road closure will be in place on Bingarn Road after the Mine Road turn this afternoon. Area W Way will also be closed.
Tom Price Waste Site will be closed for the remainder of the afternoon. Access to and from Area W is via Doradeen Road.
Please do not access the waste site or any other points of Bingarn Road via fire break tracks or the pipeline access road.
This is due to a continued bushfire advice in place for people in an area bounded by Nanutarra Road, Karijini Drive, Tom Price-Paraburdoo Road, Doradeen Road, Quindalup Street and Bingarn Road in the Shire of Ashburton.
There is no threat to lives or homes, however there may be a lot of smoke in the area. Community members with respiratory concerns are advised to remain indoors, keep windows and doors closed.
