Notice of Public Advertisement of Planning Proposal

The local government has received an application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

Address: Lot 300 BACK BEACH ROAD, ONSLOW WA 6710

Proposal: AMENDMENT TO PREVIOUS DAP APPLICATION – TRANSIENT WORKERS ACCOMMODATION – ONSLOW VILLAGE

This application proposed to amend the previous development approval granted by the Regional Development Assessment Panel (RDAP) on 23 December 2021 as per below:

  1. The addition of a Wastewater Treatment Plant
  2. Amendment to the approved plans, including revisions to the Central Facilities and Service Area and associated outdoor areas
  3. 10 additional Accommodation Pods within Stage One works (previously part of Stage two, with no added Accommodation Pods to the approved development)
  4. Boundary fence installed to the overall development

Comments on the proposal are now invited and can be emailed to [email protected] or posted to the Shire’s Chief Executive Officer at PO Box 567 Tom Price WA 6751.

All submissions must include the following information:

  • Your name, address and contact telephone number;
  • How your interests are affected; whether as a private citizen, on behalf of a company or other organisation, or as an owner or occupier of the property;
  • Address of property affected (if applicable); and
  • Whether your submission is in support of, or objecting to the proposal and provide any arguments supporting your comments.

Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the Shire of Ashburton in writing on or before Thursday, 22 October 2026.
