Adoption – Shire of Ashburton Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2023
Notice is hereby given pursuant to s.3.12(6) of the Local Government Act 1995 (Act) that Council resolved at its Ordinary Meeting on 12 December 2023 to adopt the abovementioned local law in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
The purpose of this proposed local law is to make provisions about the organisation, establishment, maintenance and equipment of bush fire brigades. The effect of this local law is to have clear guidance about the management of bush fire brigades within the Shire of Ashburton.
This local law commences operation on 2 January 2024.
