On Friday 12 June 2026, Cr Brie Noone, Cr Linton Rumble and President Audra Smith attended the annual WALGA Local Government Awards – a night recognising the outstanding dedication, leadership and service of local government individuals who make a meaningful difference in their communities across Western Australia.
The Shire of Ashburton is incredibly proud to congratulate two of our Elected Members on receiving the following honours: Councillor Brie Noone received the WALGA Merit Award, recognising outstanding service and contribution to local government, and Councillor Linton Rumble received the WALGA Eminent Service Award, recognising long-term, distinguished service and leadership in the sector.
These well-deserved awards reflect their passion, commitment and care for our community. Their contributions continue to make a meaningful difference across the Shire and have been recognised at a State level.
Congratulations also to all award recipients across Western Australia, your dedication and service do not go unnoticed.
