Residents and visitors of the Shire of Ashburton are reminded that following parking rules is more than just common courtesy – it's the law
We've received increased reports of vehicles utilising clearly-marked disabled parking bays at a number of locations across the Shire, making it increasingly difficult for those who need these bays to access public spaces.
Here is your friendly reminder that, unless you have a clearly displayed parking permit affixed to your vehicle, these bays must be left available.
Our Rangers are regularly patrolling our beautiful towns to ensure all community members are doing the right thing, and may issue fines for non-compliance under local laws.
