Cyclone Narelle Water Supply Update - Onslow, Wednesday, 1 April 2026, 9:30am
The Shire has been advised by Water Corporation that they are currently assessing the ongoing impacts of ex Tropical Cyclone Narelle on local water infrastructure in Onslow.
⚠️ Please avoid floodwater due to the risk of water contamination, and keep your distance from stormwater drains and access chambers (manholes), which can be hazardous in these conditions.
Crews are working to temporarily repair a damaged water main east of town. While water supply is being maintained, low water pressure will continue until a flood affected access road can be reinstated.
To help reduce the risk of supply interruptions while repairs continue, Onslow residents are asked to limit water use to essential needs only.
Guidance on how to limit non essential water use is available here >>
💧 Additional drinking water for domestic use will be available on Thursday 2 April from 7.30am via water tankers at the Onslow Visitor Centre, 52 Second Avenue, Onslow. Please bring clean, food grade containers.
We thank the residents for their cooperation as crews work to complete repairs as safely and quickly as possible. We also acknowledge and thank emergency services for their continued support during recovery efforts.
Further updates will be provided as work progresses.
