The Shire of Ashburton is currently developing a Community Lifestyle and Infrastructure Plan (CLIP) for Tom Price and Paraburdoo to look at how infrastructure can be improved and how life within the towns can be enhanced in the future. The CLIP will be the fundamental guiding document to shape the future of Tom Price and will also identify opportunities for the future of Paraburdoo.
The CLIP will outline how future growth and economic diversification can occur into the future through to 2035 and beyond. The CLIP will investigate and plan for a range of areas including economic development, the environment, infrastructure, community facilities and future land use.
The consultation period is now closed and Council are working to endorse the plan early 2023.
Who is collecting and analysing the feedback?
Creating Communities Australia, a specialist community engagement company will collect, collate and analyse all data. The feedback will be included in a report which will be provided to the Shire of Ashburton and the project team. All feedback will be included, with key findings generated from the responses.
Get involved!
Earlier this year, the Shire of Ashburton began a series of community consultation forums and workshops as we advanced the Community Lifestyle and Infrastructure Plan for Tom Price and Paraburdoo.
The CLIP sets the direction for key areas including housing, economic development, the environment, infrastructure, community facilities and future land use.
We will also use the CLIP as the basis for future partnership agreements including those with Rio Tinto Iron Ore and the State Government.
We now invite community members to participate in concluding sessions with the consultant team to discuss and provide feedback on the draft Community Lifestyle and Infrastructure Plan (CLIP).
There is no need to register for the Open Day sessions, drop in at a time that suits you and view the displays of the plans and speak with the team.
