Ashburton-based artists, it's the moment you've been waiting for – the Ashburton Art Awards RETURN for 2025! 🎉
 
After the success of the inaugural competition in 2024, we're bringing back both the Awards and the Showcase, PLUS we're introducing new and revamped categories to display the best of the best in our four towns.
 
The rules this year are pretty simple:
🖌️Each artist can have two (2) entries. They can be in the same category or in different categories
🖌️The artist must be a resident of either Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Onslow or Pannawonica, or the neighbouring First Nations communities to these towns
🖌️Your entry form must be submitted by Tuesday, 1 July 2025.
  
The categories include:
🎨 Youth: This category is designed to celebrate the creativity and talent of young artists between the ages of 10 and 17.
🎨 Landscape: This category invites artists to capture natural beauty and diverse scenery.
🎨 Photography: This category celebrates the art of capturing moments through the lens. From stunning portraits to breathtaking landscapes, we welcome all forms of photographic expression.
🎨First Nations: This category is open to artworks created by First Nations artists. We welcome all forms of artistic expression, celebrating the creativity and perspectives of Indigenous communities.
🎨Portrait: In this category, artists are invited to create compelling portraits that capture the essence of their subjects through mediums other than photography.
🎨Your Ashburton Town: This special category focuses on and represents the unique character and spirit of the towns within the Shire of Ashburton; Onslow, Pannawonica, Paraburdoo and Tom Price.
🎨Open Category: This category is for all other forms of artistic expression that do not fit into the specified categories.
