Works include the restoration and expansion of the sea wall near the Anzac Memorial Park to protect the foreshore and restore the failing wall in front of Anzac Memorial Park area.
Works will commence Friday 1 April on the northwest end of Second Avenue, from 6am and include:
- Changes to traffic conditions and vehicular access in Second Avenue
- Increased heavy vehicle movements
- Disruptions to pedestrian traffic at the end of Second Avenue
- Machinery accessing the beach from second Avenue
- Works areas fenced off
- Construction activities consistent with the construction of the sea wall
A section of the boardwalk will be temporarily closed while it is being removed and gravel placed for its continual use during the project duration.
