On Tuesday 3 May, the Shire of Ashburton hosted Minister for Defence Industry, Science and Technology and Federal Member for Durack Melissa Price MP.
Ms Price travelled to Tom Price and met with Chief Executive Officer Kenn Donohoe, Deputy Shire President Matthew Lynch to discuss current projects across Ashburton, including a $5 million dollar grant aimed at building natural disaster reliance.
The Shire of Ashburton will be using the grant to extend the Onslow seawall and shield the town from rising sea levels and increasing cyclone activity.
