Building Certification Services

Did you know that the Shire of Ashburton Building Services Department is able to offer all certification/inspection services for all classes of buildings? One of the most significant changes being introduced by the new Building Act (2011) was that of private certification for all buildings/structures

The advantage of the applicant using the available Shire of Ashburton certification/inspection services are as follows:

  • A proven reliable team including a fully qualified registered Level 1 Building Surveyor possessing a high level of knowledge in cyclonic Region D requirements, together with a wealth of local building conditions and possible constraints;
  • Able to provide in-house services for all associated Health and Planning requirements, with experienced and highly qualified resources at our disposal;
  • The ability to liaise with other regulatory departments and agencies to ensure minimum processing times;
  • An attractive fee structure;
  • The ability to carry out inspections within Shire boundaries without the need for additional fees to be charged for flights etc.
