2021 Local Government Election Results
The Shire of Ashburton undertook a postal election for the Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Pannawonica seats on Council.
Voting officially closed on Saturday, October 16 at 6pm with the below outcomes.
Tom Price Ward
Candidate Matthew Lynch was re-elected for the Tom Price ward.
Cr Lynch will serve a four year term.
Candidate Audra Smith was newly elected for the Tom Price ward.
Cr Smith will serve a four year term.
Candidate Tina Mladenovic was newly elected for the Tom Price ward.
Cr Mladenovic will serve a two year term.
Councillor term is decided in order of votes.
Paraburdoo Ward
Candidate Alana Sullivan was newly elected and will represent the Paraburdoo ward.
Cr Sullivan will serve a four year term.
Pannawonica Ward
Melanie Gallanagh was re-elected unopposed for the ward of Pannawonica.
Cr Gallanagh will serve a four year term.
The new councillors were officially sworn in on Tuesday, October 19 before attending their first Council Meeting.
Shire President / Deputy Shire President
At Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday 19 October, Shire President Kerry White was elected 6/2 and Deputy Shire President Matthew Lynch was elected 6/2 by fellow Councillors.
