Onslow

Our Town

Onslow is a growing resource hub located in Western Australia’s Coral Coast. A paradise for adventure seekers, Onslow offers world-class fishing, diving and snorkelling opportunities. It is also the gateway to the Mackerel Islands, which are located just 22km off the coast. This group of 10 pristine islands are rich in coral reefs, marine life and stunning views, perfect for day trips.

Onslow is also one of the best places in Western Australia to catch the natural phenomenon of the Staircase to the Moon. Taking place from March to November each year, the Staircase to the Moon is caused when the light from the rising full moon reflects off the exposed mudflats at low tide. This creates an illusion of golden stairs reaching up to the moon.
