2025 marks a momentous milestone – a century since Onslow relocated from the original townsite, now known as Old Onslow. The Shire of Ashburton is excited to commemorate this historic occasion with a year-long celebration of events and activities honouring the unique history and vibrant community of Onslow. 

The festivities will kick off on 26 January 2025 with the much-anticipated return of the Australia Day Regatta on the Onslow Foreshore. Following this, on 26 April 2025, a full-day festival will light up the Onslow foreshore, offering a lively and engaging experience for all. This special event will celebrate 100 years of history, community, and progress, featuring an array of activities and entertainment for all ages.

From live music and food stalls to historical displays and interactive exhibits, there will be plenty to see and do. It promises to be a day of fun, reflection, and community spirit – an event not to be missed.

Onslow Boat Regatta

The annual Onslow Boat Regatta is back and bigger than ever! To kick off our 100 Years celebrations, we're taking our recycled tinnies back to where it all began on Onslow Foreshore on Australia Day, Sunday, 26 January.

No raft? No worries! Come on down to the Foreshore anyway for a jam-packed day of fun featuring Australia Day-themed games, free ice cream and sausage sizzle.

Rules and Regulations

Building your own boat for a regatta can be a lot of fun! If you decide to build a boat and enter one of our events, there are a few rules to be aware of. These rules are in place to ensure the events to run smoothly and fairly. If you have registered for the Regatta, please ensure you have read the Terms and Conditions document below.
