Regional Arts Workshop: Introduction to Graffiti Stencilling

In this workshop, the inspiration is the graffiti art of Banksy, whose exhibition Jodie recently viewed in Melbourne. To add a twist to this, you will be upcycling an item of clothing or an old art canvas/painting that you will need to bring along. One of the following would be suitable a t-shirt, pair of jeans, runners, canvas tote bag, denim jacket and/ or old Kmart decorative canvas (life, love, hope). Let that 'old something' become a 'new something'. Learning how to create a basic stencil, over a graffiti style background to create your own artwork that you can either wear or hang on a wall. Water based spray paint will be used something to protect your clothes is recommended.

REQUIRMENTS: Participants need to bring their own t-shirt, pair of jeans, runners, canvas tote bag, denim jacket and/ or old Kmart decorative canvas

Capacity limited to 15 attendees.
