The Shire is aware of an increase in wild dogs in Tom Price at the moment, and the nuisance behaviour of one in particular. Our Ranger is actively patrolling the known areas, with extra patrols in the early morning and evening, as we try and remove this dog.
It is strongly advised that residents keep their dogs on leashes at all times, even when outside of the town limits, and to avoid taking your dogs to Kings Lake and the surrounding areas until this dog has been removed. As required by law, please keep your cats confined inside at night.
Living in the Pilbara means that we do encounter various forms of wild life and we remind everyone to be vigilant and aware of their surrounding environment.
