Onslow street numbering and kerb painting to commence

The Shire of Ashburton will be commencing street numbering and kerb painting in Onslow as a result of a 2020 Council decision.

The Shire of Ashburton is undertaking a street address/house number and kerb painting project within the town of Onslow.

The project involves confirming current street addresses and house numbers within Onslow are correct and painting the house numbers on the adjoining kerb.

Formalising numbered street addresses will assist Emergency Service responders to easily identify addresses in the case of an emergency, allowing for a more rapid and safe response to the Onslow community, as well as for service delivery providers.

Each household will receive a letter from the Shire, confirming their recorded address is correct.

It is anticipated that no changes to addresses will occur. However, the Shire is responsible for notifying Australia Post, Water Corporation, the State and  Federal  Electoral Commissions, the Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, should any changes be required.

For personal privacy and security, each owner/occupant will need to notify banks, insurance  companies of their new address should there be a change to their residence numbering.
