We want to keep you informed about an ongoing gastro outbreak in our area, which began in mid-September. As of now, there has been one confirmed case of Norovirus in Tom Price.

Norovirus is a type of virus that causes gastroenteritis, with vomiting and diarrhoea.
It is highly infectious and may cause outbreaks in settings such as schools, childcare centres, aged care facilities, cruise ships, restaurants and hospitals.

With school returning next week, we urge families to be extra vigilant and practice regular handwashing. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home and ensure they do not return to school until at least 48 hours after the last symptom has subsided.

Your health is our priority. If you have any concerns or notice any symptoms, please contact your doctor immediately. For further information or assistance, you can reach out to our Environmental Health Officer at 9188 4444.
