Schedule of Fees and Charges updated for 2020/21 financial year

The Shire of Ashburton Council have endorsed amendments to the Schedule of Fees and Charges for the 2020/2021 financial year at the February Ordinary Meeting of Council.

The new fees and charges, which will be imposed from 1 March 2021, account for facility improvements such as recently installed flood lighting at Minna Oval in Tom Price.

The updated fees and charges also support parity, with hire fees for Multi-Purpose Centre and Community Halls across all Shire towns amended to the same rate.

The inclusion of accommodation sites 825B Warara Street, 4 Weelamurra Court and 9 Weelamurra Court in Tom Price to the Fees and Charges schedule will allow for appropriate charging of the accommodation in line with current charges of other Shire-owned accommodation.

The property at 825B Warara Street will be used as medium-term transit accommodation for contractors employed by the Shire, supporting the timely completion of projects. This will provide greater flexibility and avoid limiting availability of short-term accommodation options such as the transit house located on Willow Street, Tom Price.

The addition of units located at 4 Wheelamurra Court and 9 Wheelamurra Court to the Schedule of Fees and Charges will allow the Shire to utilise both premises as medium-term accommodation options for contractors as well as their existing use as permanent accommodation for new Shire of Ashburton employees relocating to Tom Price.

The new Schedule of Fees and Charges also stipulates for the provision of property plans requested by members of the public.
