DOG REGISTRATION - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Published on Monday, 6 January 2014 at 12:00:00 AM

The Shire of Ashburton wishes to advise Dog Owners that software issues have incorrectly led to Renewal Notices being sent out later than normal.

A Dog Registration renewal is legislatively set to be due on 31 October annually (Refer the Dog Act 1976).

To allow customers a reasonable time to pay, please note Dog Registration Renewals are requested to be paid by 31 January 2014  (not 31 October 2013 as stated on the notice).

The Shire is also aware of inconsistencies in data with a small number of renewals and is investigating to determine the cause of these problems.

It is important that the correct information is held on file to ensure Rangers are able to return lost pets to their families.

Shire Rangers will be writing to all registered owners across the Shire requesting confirmation of information currently held to ensure this information is accurate.  Details currently held will be sent to you for verification.  Please only contact the Shire if the details are incorrect.

If you are concerned about registration details held by the Shire for your pets, please contact the Tom Price Administration office directly on 9184 4444.
