The Shire of Ashburton welcomed the first guests at the completed stage two redevelopment at Onslow’s Ocean View Caravan Park this week.

Shire of Ashburton President Kerry White said she is pleased the $3.6M redevelopment project has been completed just in time for the Pilbara tourist season.

“Situated on Second Avenue, Ocean View Caravan Park is located on the beachfront and offers powered and unpowered sites as well as self-contained cabins”, said Councillor White.

“The redevelopment of the Ocean View Caravan Park in Onslow has enhanced the amenities and facilities on site as well as the overall layout and accessibility”, said Councillor White

“Local civil construction company NTC Contracting were engaged to deliver this final stage of the project which has added an additional 58 RV sites and 9 overflow, bringing the total number of sites available to 100, alongside state-of-the-art cooking and kitchen facilities and modern ablutions.

“The total $8.1M completed project commenced in 2017 has transformed the caravan park, taking advantage of sweeping ocean views and direct access to Front Beach that is renowned for incredible sunrises.

“The park, located close to Onslow’s Main Street, is an ideal base for fishing enthusiasts and those who are looking for a relaxing coastal getaway and is just minutes from the Ian Blair Memorial Boardwalk which runs from the ANZAC memorial to Back Beach, offering great views of the ocean and the Onslow Salt Jetty”.
