Onslow community members are advised that the Water Spray Park will remain closed as the Shire of Ashburton is proceeding with major upgrade works to the facility.
A tender process will start shortly that includes new plant room including pumps, balance tank, automatic dosing system including UV treatment, water sampling equipment and also including resurfacing of the splash pad.
We understand this facility is important to our community and are anticipating the works will be completed by October 2021 and in time for summer.
This timeframe takes into account the current economic climate with skilled labour shortage being experienced across Western Australia as week as the specialised products required. The park will require Department of Health final approval prior to reopening.
