Onslow asphalt road works to commence in October

The Shire of Ashburton will be commencing asphalt works in Onslow from October 12, 2021.

Asphalt placement works will take place between October 12 - October 21 as part of the Shire Urban Streets Renewal Program.

The $700,000 program will involve milling of the existing road surface and placement of new asphalt.

The following roads will be impacted:

  • Beadon Creek Road (portion of road - shoulder only)
  • Burt Close
  • Clarke Place
  • Cornish Way
  • First Avenue
  • Forrest Place
  • Hedditch Street
  • Hope Court
  • Lapthorne Way (portion of road only)
  • McRae Place
  • Simpson Street (portion of road only)
  • Third Street (including on street parking)
  • Third Avenue and Cameron Avenue (intersection only)
  • Shanks Road

Dates may vary subject to weather and contractor availability.

Residents are advised that impacted areas will be temporarily closed whilst works are being undertaken, however local traffic will be guided by way of Traffic Control Management.

All vehicles will also be required to park off the street while these asphalt works are being performed.
