The Shire has developed guidelines to encourage best practice water sensitive landscaping across the region. These guidelines offer practical ways to create water efficient and liveable gardens for the Ashburton region. These guidelines should be used in preparing any landscape plan in support of any development application or as required by a condition of development approval.
