The Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) is responsible for approving all subdivision applications in our state. Further information on the process for subdivision approvals can be obtained from the WAPC Subdivision site.

The subdivision application is referred for comment by WAPC to the Shire and relevant service providers. A recommendation will be provided to the WAPC to either:
Approve with conditions; or
Refuse the application.
If the application is approved by WAPC, the applicant then needs to apply to the Shire for the clearance of all conditions (e.g. drainage, cross-overs). Applicants should use the following application form and submit to the Shire:
WAPC will endorse a subdivision and they are satisfied that the plan is in accordance with the approval and that all conditions have been met. The applicant can then apply to Landgate for new title/s
