Development Application 17-37

Lot 152 on Deposited Plan 220265, Minderoo Station

To construct a series of 10 weirs and associated infrastructure (tracks and temporary quarry) along the Ashburton River, to the south of the Twitchen Road bridge, on Minderoo Station.  The development is intended to promote groundwater recharge in support the existing agricultural use of the land.  The proposed weirs will have a maximum height of 3m above the river bed and are designed to be “leaky” to allow continued flow of water.

Details of the proposal are available for inspection at the Shire of Ashburton Office Second Avenue, Onslow.

Comments on the proposal may be submitted to the Shire of Ashburton in writing on or before 16th August 2017.

Notice of proposed permanent road closure

Land Administration Act 1997

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 58 of the Land Administration Act 1997 of the Shire’s intention to close the following roads:
- Simpson Street –south of the intersection with the constructed Onslow Ring Road; and
- Macedon Road.
This request for road closure is sought by the Shire to close portions of dedicated road that are now made redundant following the construction of the Onslow Ring Road.
Details of the proposal are available for inspection at the Shire of Ashburton Administration Centre, Poinciana Street, Tom Price and temporary Onslow Administration Office, 7 First Avenue, Onslow during office hours.

Persons who wish to comment on the proposal by forwarding written submissions to the Shire of Ashburton on or before the 9 November 2016.
